RR-5 Hot EF-1 Semi-Permanent Release System
DESCRIPTION:
RR-5 is a highly effective, semi-permanent mold release agent. When applied to a clean mold, it forms a smooth, continuous film with good adhesion to the mold surface. This film gives easy release and multiple releases with most rubber and plastic materials. |
BENEFITS:
Multiple releases -- gives increased productivity.
No transfer -- post-finishing problems virtually eliminated.
Not knit lines, cracks, or splits -- low scrap rate.
Contains no ozone-depleting chemicals.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
Clean, rinse, and dry mold thoroughly. Apply 2 coats of RR-5 by spray, brush, or wipe -- a thin, wet film is best. Use COLD or HOT version based on the mold temperature (see properties above). Let dry completely between coats. Cure RR-5 COLD EF-1 for 10 to 20 minutes at room temperature before putting mold in service. Cure RR-5 HOT EF-1 or RR-5 HOT EF-1HS for 2 to 5 minutes at molding temperature. Reapply RR-5 as needed, allow a few minutes to cure, and continue molding. |
